One year during spring, we hiked from Feutersoey to Arnensee lake. After reaching our destination, we were stunned with the lake and knew, that we will have to come back here one day to walk around the lake. A sunny autumn day seemed like a great choice of time. The water was crisp and clear; the path was covered in red and yellow colours; the scents varied between fresh forest and BBQs. We came across a number of hikers, children, babies and dogs.

There are plenty of BBQ spots and a number of benches across the way, some also offering chopped firewood. Huus am Arnensee restaurant is located at the start/end of the loop walk with a play area next to it.

The trail around the lake is rather flat, easy and pram friendly.

The path is quite wide on the East side of the lake and narrow on the West side. There are a number of bridges and short timber platforms. The elevation of the path with regards to the lake changes from right next to it to a few meters above. Partially through the forest and partially exposed towards the views, it is very enjoyable.

Boats and pedalos are available for hire at the lake - more information can be found here. It is also allowed to fish and to swim at the lake.

This walk can be combined with a hike from Feutersoey to Arnensee - more information on our blog post here.
