Bus: Stop at Charmey, Village and take the cable car to the mid-station.
A short, pleasant walk in around the mid cable car station. I would recommend driving, rather than starting from the mid-station as the station is the highest point of the trail. There were a number of hikers going both directions.
Charmey Aventures, located in the middle of the hike, offer food and drinks.
The route we followed (red) was a mix between route no. 270 & 271 (shaded pink), connected by a link path.

The surroundings of the route vary - there is a view towards the village, forest path, meadow path overlooking towards the other side of the mountains, forest path again. The route inclines quite a lot at first, but the descent is smooth and easy. The path starts with a single-width road and once getting to the first chalet, it turns left (it is easy to miss this turn, as the tracks are not as obvious). Soon it entered the forest, which was filled with magically snow-covered trees at the time we walked this trail. After the short forest way, the route takes a turn at the mid-station of the cable car, starting to descent. The trail goes in and out of the forest until reaching the parking.
