Very enjoyable winter walk with a gentle ascent. Most of the route opened up to stunning alpine views. We didn't come across any restaurants on the path, but there were plenty in Les Paccots village.
Close to the beginning of the hike we came across a shadowed, few meters long, frozen paddle, which we had to cross quite slowly and carefully to avoid slipping. From there, the road-width path was quite easy to walk on for majority of the route. We came across another slightly difficult, icy section later on and we tried to pass it through the side of the road. The pathway went inside the forest for a while and the mountains were visible between trees every so often. Once we crossed the second bridge over a stream, a new view opened up towards Preises. We decided to start going back earlier, but I think it would have been a beautiful walk to continue up to the end of the path until Preises.
We did this hike in mid-January. However, the road cover highly depends on current weather conditions.
There are many other activities at the start of this hiking route, such as: ski slopes, small slopes for children and a sledge area.
