A nice walk along for a Sunday afternoon. We passed a lot of people with kids on the way to the castle ruins; but after Grasburg Ruins, we didn't meet many people. At the second crossing of the river we noticed a number of people having a picnic or a BBQ.
The pathway starts along the river and passes through a nice wooden bridge. The dirt road took us through a series of parkings where many people had picnics and there were a few camper vans. The incline started with a pretty cobbled pathway, but later it turned into a steep incline one track path. Once we reached the top, the forest way got wider. We found some information boards once we reached Grasburg Ruins. We didn't go inside, but we hope to go back there to explore the ruins properly. You can easily join your hike with the exploration of this old castle. The return trip initially continues through the forest as a thin single trail, where we found a small bridge above a pretty stream. The rest of the hike opens up and follows field roads, where we met a number of animals.
